Types of Metal Enclosures
1. Mild Steel Enclosure

- Finish: Zinc anneal tends to have a more smooth and cleaner finish while the galvanized has a rough surface finish.
- Corrosion Resistance: Zinc anneal, or galvanized, will resist corrosion better but a bit less when extreme conditions come because of its lesser zinc coating layer.
- Zinc Anneal and Galvanization are both galvanizing technologies, used in coating steel by the deposition of a layer of zinc, making the metal resistance to corrosion; however, both are different methods of application with respect to coating properties.
- Zinc anneal is the best for those applications where the finish is expected to be smooth and aesthetic in nature and can tolerate moderate corrosion protection. The galvanization is better used for applications requiring maximum corrosion protection, especially harsh or outdoor environments.
