Micrologic Trip Units – What are the Differences?

Micrologic trip units of Schneider Electric are advanced electronic devices used to provide protection, monitoring, and control for power circuits and loads. Schneider Electric’s circuit breakers are composed of units that streamline solutions to enhance reliability in systems, energy management, and improved overall operational efficiency.

Micrologic trip units serve diverse purposes as their range of applications ranges from general protection up to monitoring and predictive maintenance. Below we discuss several of the available models with their features.

Micrologic 2.2

  • Overloads – adjustable long-time protection
  • Short-time protection – adjustable
Applications:
  • Standard and specific applications, including motor-feeder protection.
Dials:
  • Two multi-position dials for setting and fine-tuning long-time protection.
EcoStruxure Integration:
  • Compatible with PowerTag NSX and Compact NSX basic frame.

  • Selectivity: Zone selectivity for fault discrimination and reliable system operation.
  • Indicators: Alarm LED, trip cause LEDs, and an LCD screen for energy monitoring.
  • Additional Features:
    • Programmable ground fault alarm.
    • Neutral protection.
    • Power measurement.
    • Contact wear indication.
    • Modbus communication for local and remote settings.

  • Compatible with MasterPact NT, NW, MT, PowerPact P-Frame, R-Frame, and Compact NS breakers.
