ComAp InteliPro – An Advanced Mains Decoupling Relay

ComAp InteliPro offers a highly flexible mains decoupling relay designed to meet strict utility protection standards. It is ideal for distributed generation, cogeneration units, renewable energy sources, and backup protection for generator sets.

The ComAp InteliPro stands out with its flexibility and robust features. Here’s why it’s an excellent choice:
Flexible Operations and Configuration
Configure the relay with its comprehensive portfolio of standard and optional functions. This flexibility ensures it can adapt to a wide array of application requirements.
Advanced Online Communications
Be informed immediately when changes occur in the mains connection. It keeps you up to date and enables quick reactions.
Protection Functions
Protection against different electrical interferences. The protection provided by the relay extends to frequency, voltage, and current.
Dynamic Grid Support
QU protection (directional reactive power undervoltage protection) and Pole Slip protection for advanced grid stability.
Event-Based History
Detailed records of mains disturbances are displayed for incident management and troubleshooting purposes.
Watchdog Feature
This critical monitoring function increases the installation reliability and stability of the relay.
Compatibility and Certification
The relay is certified according to IEC 60255, VDE 0126-1-1, and BDEW and is in perfect harmony with ComAp’s PC tools.
Door-Mount Compatibility
Ease installation by offering an option to directly mount the device on switchboard doors.

Additional Features to Offer More Protection

Here are a few more advanced features of ComAp InteliPro, which can be accessed by purchasing software keys:
IPRO-25 (ANSI 25 – Synchro Check)
This feature measures the upstream and downstream voltage differences across a circuit breaker. When the voltage differences fall within the safe tolerance limits, it closes.
IPRO-32 (ANSI 32P)
Offers reverse active power protection. It controls the direction of the power flows in an effective manner.
IPRO-51V (ANSI 51V—Voltage-Restrained Overcurrent)
This provides protection against phase-to-phase short circuits.
IPRO-59N (ANSI 59N—Neutral Voltage Displacement)
It detects insulation faults by measuring residual voltage in isolated neutral systems.
IPRO-67: ANSI 67—AC Directional Overcurrent
It protects against phase-to-phase short circuits with tripping based on fault current direction.
IPRO-78: ANSI 78—Vector Shift
It measures the phase angle differences to monitor synchronization and system stability.
IPRO-78PS (ANSI 78PS — Pole Slip)
Calculated active power provides protection against loss of synchronism in synchronous machines.
IPRO-79 (ANSI 79 — AC Reclosing Relay)
This device automatically recloses after tripping due to transient faults and hence reduces loss of time with a programmable time delay.
IPRO-81R (ANSI 81R — Rate of Change Frequency and Filter)
The device quickly disconnects generators or loads in case of variations of frequency over the set limits.
ComAp InteliPro is a versatile, powerfully designed solution for mains decoupling and utility protection. It comes with robust features and extensive protection functions, easier integration, and advanced capabilities that provide reliability and efficiency in many applications.
